EA FC 27 Open World Mode: The Grounds Explained
Learn about The Grounds, a central hub in EA FC 27 Open World Mode, and how it impacts your Ultimate Team experience.
What is The Grounds in EA FC 27 Open World Mode?
EA Sports has unveiled a new Open World Mode for EA FC 27, and at its center is a location called The Grounds. This is not a single stadium or training ground. It is a large, explorable area that serves as the main hub for players.
In The Grounds, you can walk around and interact with various buildings. Each building represents a different game mode or feature. For example, you might find a transfer market building, a chemistry lab, or a place to enter tournaments. The idea is to make navigation feel more immersive.
Why FUT Players Should Care
The Grounds is directly tied to FUT. You can manage your club from within this open world. Instead of just clicking menus, you can walk your manager avatar to different stations to perform actions. This includes sending players on loan, opening packs, or customizing your stadium.
This mode also introduces new objectives. Some objectives require you to explore The Grounds and discover hidden areas. Completing these objectives could earn you special rewards for FUT, such as unique player items or cosmetic upgrades.
How It Changes Gameplay
Open World Mode is separate from standard FUT matches. It adds a layer of preparation and customization. You can test new tactics in practice pitches found in The Grounds. You can also challenge other players' avatars to small sided games, which count toward certain objectives.
This mode will be available on next gen consoles and PC. It is an optional feature, so traditional FUT menus will still exist. But for players who want a deeper experience, The Grounds offers a new way to engage with the game.
